  I have over twenty years of experience in the cultural sector, working for musical charities that deliver excellence on the concert platform and social value beyond it. My current role includes fundraising, advocacy and cross-organisational projects in EDI and Sustainability. I am passionate about the difference that the arts, sport and other enrichment activities make to the school journey and how we can harness them to close the disadvantage gap and boost opportunity. I am a school governor within Orion Education and am Trustee of a small but pioneering vocal ensemble.

  I have a wide range of experience to support the continued development and improvement of Orion Community Impact. I began my professional life in retail leadership for a number of national chains. I moved into education teaching and leading in a range of settings, mostly inner London. My first Headship was of the first primary academy in the UK. My latest role was as Leading Headteacher of an Multi Academy Trust in Kent and Bexley. I now work in a number of voluntary sectors including courts, prisons and adult mental health.

  Nazia is an Entrepreneur, Investor, and Educational Board Member. She brought expertise in Management Consulting and Programme Management, driving transformation, risk, and governance across education, healthcare, finance, and tech. She previously founded and ran a business in London and has served on educational boards in the UK for over five years, including a term as Board Chair, contributing to governance and strategy across institutions serving up to 26,000 students. She is also a passionate advocate for social mobility, financial literacy, and women’s empowerment. Today, she inspires women to live freely and authentically, teaching them to build wealth with independence, purpose, and confidence.
